What is Atlassian Intelligence?
Atlassian Intelligence is a feature introduced to Atlassian Cloud products that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help teams work more efficiently and automate repetitive or tedious tasks.
Atlassian Intelligence is available in Jira and Confluence, as well as Bitbucket, Trello, and Atlassian Analytics, but each product uses different AI features. For example, in Confluence, it can help generate new content and edit your tone of voice, while in Jira Service Management, it can summarise complex requests.

Atlassian Intelligence in Confluence
In Confluence, Atlassian Intelligence helps users search for answers, create content, and understand key messages quicker.
- Summarise content: At the click of a button, users can summarise a Confluence page's content, saving precious time reading.
- Search for answers: Quickly find relevant information by asking questions in the Confluence search bar.
- Term definitions: Give clear, concise definitions to company-specific terms and jargon to improve understanding.
- Create/transform content: Instantly draft new content for pages, improve the tone of voice, and simplify technical information with one click.
- Automation: Create rules that automatically follow an “if this happens, then that happens” workflow, saving users time on repetitive tasks.
Atlassian Intelligence in Jira
As well as creating new content and summarising content, Atlassian Intelligence provides several Jira-exclusive features to gather insights and drive action.
- Search issues: Find the work you need using everyday language instead of coming up with complex queries. AI will translate simple prompts into JQL queries to help quickly find your issues (Jira Software and Jira Work Management).
- Automate support interactions: Pull answers from linked Confluence knowledge bases to answer customer questions in Slack - without the need for a ticket (Jira Service Management).
- Suggest request types: Describing your project and the typical tasks your team handles to automatically generate request types for your project (Jira Service Management).
