Did you know that you can seamlessly import Word documents into Confluence? This way, it’s possible to create one or more Confluence pages from your Word content.

How to import a Word document into Confluence
1. To get started, you’ll need to create a new Confluence page. When you create a new page, it’ll look like this:
2. Click the Import tab (located to the right of the page) and select Word document.
This will open up your computer files. Find the Word document you want to import, and double click on it. You can also import from Google Docs and OneDrive.

3. A progress bar will pop up. Once your import is complete, click Finish to see the contents of your Word document on your Confluence page.
After the upload completes, Confluence will generate pages with the content from your Word document. You can then view and edit these pages as usual. Importantly, there's no ongoing connection between the original Word document and the imported Confluence pages.
Note: It’s also possible to import a Word document into an existing Confluence page - but currently only if you’re a Data Center user.

Are there any limitations of importing a Word document into Confluence?
To prevent memory errors, the uncompressed file size for import is limited to 20 MB. Administrators can adjust this limit using the confluence.word.import.maxsize system property.
